• DESCRIPTION

This faux fur scarf knitting pattern will allow you to create a large chunky fluffy scarf that can be worn as a cowl or capelet.

Inspired by the fur cowl that Claire wears in Outlander season 1, episode 2 'Castle Leoch'.

Yarn

5 skeins of Sirdar Alpine Luxe Fur Effect Yarn - 50g/33m/36yards approx / color Brindle - 0403

Substitute with - Lion Brand Go For Faux Yarn 100g

Yarn weight - Super Bulky 06 / Super Chunky / 14 Ply.

Needles

  • 10mm (US 15) 24" circular knitting needles
  • 10mm (US 15) 16" circular knitting needles

• SKILLS

Level – Easy

This is an easy-level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, K2tog, knitting in the round casting on, and casting off.

• SIZING

Finished measurements – laying flat and unstretched = Length = 18 inches / 46 cm

Width = 13 inches / 33 cm at the narrowest point (the neck) and 21 inches / 53 cm at the widest point (The shoulders).

You can easily adjust the size by casting on fewer or more stitches.

A Simple pattern but using faux fur makes it special. Great for beginners. Did this as my first project after taking a year hiatus.
